Fact or Fake? Detect and Defeat Misinformation Online
Finding accurate and factual information is more important than ever, whether you are writing a paper, making medical decisions, voting in an election, or keeping up with current events. Misinformation can steer you towards conspiracies, scams, and even harmful consequences. This workshop aims to equip users with the tools they need to critically evaluate, avoid, and combat misinformation; recognize bias in sources and in ourselves; and scrutinize social media, AI, and trending topics.
