EPY 3513 Scientific Writing for Behavioral Sciences In-Person
I need the presentation to cover the following topics: -How to look for peer-reviewed, empirical studies in the domain of Educational Psychology (so, PsychINFO, etc. and ERIC) -how to narrow down the list of found literature by publication year, age, gender, academic classification, etc. -how to "mine" references list of an article to find others on the same topic, and correct keywords -why systematic literature reviews and dissertations can be helpful to identify empirical studies -how to get help from research librarians :-) -ideally, students would get trained in the first part of the 75 minute long class, and then individually conduct their searches while the librarian and I circulate and help them.
