Introducing the Lantern Project In-Person

Please join us for an informational session about the Lantern Project, a multi-state and multi-institution effort to digitize legal records of enslaved persons led by Mississippi State University Libraries and generously funded by the National Historic Publications and Records Commission (NHPRC) of the National Archives.

Attendees will get tips on navigating both the project digital collection and specific historic documents included in the project, such as probate records and circuit court records.
