Introduction to Text Mining for Humanists In-Person
This workshop will introduce basic text mining methods, tools, and applications for humanists, including Voyant and MALLET. Also referred to as text analysis in Digital Humanities, text mining is a way of distant-reading digital text files through word frequency, context, proximities, and lexical preferences, in order to facilitate traditional close readings of texts. No prior humanities computing experience is required.
