Tools for Citation Management: Zotero 101 In-Person

Zotero is an open source bibliographic management tool popular with the social science and humanities communities.  A free cloud-based alternative to Endnote, Zotero communicates with web browsers to bookmark content such as webpages, newspaper articles, journal articles, and other materials to seamlessly save resources.  A plug-in is available for use with Word to easily add citations.  Users can create groups to share bibliographies (“Libraries”) and collaborate on research projects.  It works best with Firefox as well as Chrome.
